Publish and unpublish messages

When you first create a message, it’s saved in “Inactive” state on the site page. 

Publishing a message

  1. Sign in to your Funding Choices account at https://fundingchoices.google.com/.
  2. Select the app or site on which to publish your message.
  3. Click the "more" menu More, and then select Publish next to the draft message that you want to be shown to eligible users. A confirmation message is displayed. 
  4. Click Yes. The message status changes to "Active." It may take up to 10 minutes before eligible users see the message.
You can only publish a consent message if its framework matches the framework configured for its site or app.

Unpublishing a message

  1. Sign in to your Funding Choices account at https://fundingchoices.google.com/.
  2. Select the app or site on which to unpublish your message.
  3. Click the "more" menu More, and then select Unpublish next to the message that you want to stop showing to users. A confirmation message is displayed. 
  4. Click Yes. The message status changes to "Inactive." It may take up to 10 minutes before users stop seeing the message.
When you unpublish a consent message, the default configurations of your ad serving systems apply.
