Partner management reporting metrics

This article describes metrics for Track assignments, and other assignments in beta.

The partner management reporting system provides data only from September 11, 2015 onward, or from the day you create an assignment, whichever is later.

Available report types

The "Partner management" metrics can be used in the following report types:

  • Historical: View data on clicks, revenue, click-through rate, and total impressions for dates in the past. This report type is available for all partner management assignments.
  • Partner finance: Applies to Track assignments and reflects host-partner revenue splits based on advanced financial configurations. You can set up different payment structures based on impressions tiers and date ranges.

The metrics can be used in the following new dimensions:

  • Assignments
  • Partner
  • Partner label

Partner management metrics vary based on whether you select the "Historical" or "Partner finance" report type. Available metrics are:

Gross revenue
The partner publisher’s share of total revenue pre-reconciliation.

Host clicks
Total clicks for the host publisher.

Host CTR
Click-through rate (CTR) for the host publisher. CTR is the percentage of impressions served by the DoubleClick ad server that resulted in users clicking on an ad. It’s calculated as:
(Clicks / Impressions) × 100.

Host impressions
Total impressions for the host publisher.

Host revenue*
Your share of revenue as the DFP network host. It’s the total host revenue earned, calculated in your network’s currency, for the ads delivered by the DoubleClick ad server. The amount represented on a single row is your share of revenue after distributing revenue share to your partners.

Host eCPM*
The average effective cost per thousand impressions the host publisher earned from ads that served to its websites and apps.

Partner revenue*
The partner publisher’s share of revenue pre-reconciliation, as calculated by the financial terms to which it belongs.

Partner eCPM*
The average effective cost per thousand impressions the partner publisher earned in its share of revenue.

Partner clicks
Total clicks for the partner publisher.

Partner CTR
Click-through rate (CTR) for the partner publisher. CTR is the percentage of impressions served by the DoubleClick ad server that resulted in users clicking on an ad. It’s calculated as:
(Clicks / Impressions) × 100.

Partner impressions
Total impressions for the partner publisher. For Track assignments, this value will be 0, and you should instead look at the "Host impressions" metric.

Total monetizable content views
The number of video views from the shared partner content. Learn more

Unfilled impressions
Number of ad requests that didn't return an ad. An unfilled impression means that no ad was eligible to serve.

If you see a value of "-" in the "Line item" column for reports with any of these metrics, it means that the data in the row comes from First Look or other non-standard line item types.

* These metrics are deprecated in the "Historical" report type and should only be used in "Partner finance" reports.
