Check the firmware version of your streaming device

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware version: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If it's a display, check for Fuchsia Version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX."

Download the latest system update for your streaming device

Your device usually downloads updates automatically. To manually download the latest update, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the home screen of your streaming device.

  2. Choose All settings and then System and then About and then System update.
