My chromebook shuts down when i close it

I closed my chromebook and it shut down so i did it again after i signed in and it did it again

Go to your ChromeOS settings, then About ChromeOS>Additional Details, click the Copy button next to Build Details, and paste the information in a response.

Is your Chromebook managed by a school or company, perhaps?

Please browse to: chrome://os-settings/help then click on Additional details.

On the Build details line, click on the icon that says Copy build details to clipboard when you hover over it.
