View Chrome insights report

For administrators who manage Chrome browser or ChromeOS devices for a business or school.

As an admin, you can use the Google Admin console to see insights about the ChromeOS devices and Chrome browsers in your organization.

Before you begin

Turn on reporting. For details, see Enable Chrome browser reporting.

It can take up to 24 hours for data to show up in reports. For details, see Known issues.

View the report

1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

   Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

2. In the Admin console, go to Menu  DevicesChromeReportsInsights.
3. (Optional) On the left, select an organizational unit. By default, the ChromeOS tab is selected and reports for all ChromeOS devices are shown.
4. (Optional) At the top, select Chrome browser to view Chrome browser reports.

About the Chrome Insights Report page

On the Chrome Insights Report page, you can see the following reports:

Report type	Description
Devices receiving their last automatic update	The number of devices receiving their last automatic update in each month of the selected time frame. You can navigate directly to the Device list from the report to view all devices expiring in the time frame selected. You can view devices expiring in a specific month by clicking directly on a column in the report. You can see a breakdown by device model by hovering over a column.
Devices That Need Attention	The number of devices that: Have not synced policies in the past 28 days. Have not seen any user activity in the past 28 days. Are pending OS updates. Are not OS version policy compliant. For example, if a device policy requires ChromeOS version 94 running on devices, but several devices are on ChromeOS version 90. Are unable to apply a policy due to an OS version mismatch. For example, if a set policy due to be applied has minimum supported ChromeOS version 96, but devices are on ChromeOS version 90. You can navigate directly to a filtered Device list from the report to view all devices that match the given criteria.
Device Fleet Hardware Report	The number of devices based on the device hardware. You can choose from the following hardware options: Model: Displays the number of devices of a given model. For example, Google Pixelbook. Processor: Displays the number of devices with a given processor. For example, Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N3350 @ 1.10GHz. Memory: Displays the number of devices by total system memory. For example, 4GB. Storage: Displays the number of devices by total system storage. For example, 32GB.
Browsers that need attention	The number of browsers that: Show no activity in the past 28 days. Browsers that have not reported data or have not synced. Are with pending updates. A new version of Chrome will be installed on browser restart. Have been recently enrolled. Browsers that have enrolled in the past 28 days. You can navigate directly to a filtered browser list from the report to view all browsers that match the given criteria.
