About versions report

On the Chrome versions report page, you can see details for each Chrome version that’s installed on managed devices and browsers where Chrome sent a report in the previous 28 days.

Things to consider

  • The version report is likely to be accurate and not delayed by more than an hour for most customers outside of 9-5 EST.

  • If you have a very large number of managed devices or browsers, the report can be delayed by 1-3 days.

  • For a more precise count, you can check the device list search results. See View ChromeOS device details.

  • In enterprise environments, some devices might have multiple browsers installed, such as Stable and Beta versions. Each individual browser is counted as a separate instance.

  • By default, ChromeOS devices auto-update to the latest version of the channel that devices are using, unless they’re pinned to a specific version. Read about version pinning.

  • You might see the message This version is not recommended and support may end. To increase stability, try Long-term support. Learn more. Users are using Chrome browser or ChromeOS versions that might soon lose support . For details, see Chrome release best practices.
