If any of your locations permanently closes, you can mark it “Permanently closed” on Google to keep your customers up to date.
If you have only one Business Profile
- On your computer, sign in to Google My Business.
- On the left, click Info.
- Click Close this business on Google
Mark as permanently closed
Close business.
- To expand this section, you might need to click the arrow.
The profile now displays as “Permanently closed” on Google Maps and Search.
If you have multiple profiles
- On your computer, sign in to Google My Business.
- From the list of locations, select all locations that you want to mark "Permanently closed."
- On the toolbar, at the top, click Actions
Permanently closed.
- Click More
Mark as permanently closed.
- In the dialog, click Mark permanently closed.
The locations now display as “Permanently closed” on Google Maps and Search.
If your business location is reported as closed
- Click Reported as permanently closed
Confirm closed.
- To confirm the location status, click Review.
The location now displays as “Permanently closed” on Google Maps and Search.
Tip: If any of your locations are mistakenly marked permanently closed, you can reopen the location.
