If any of your locations permanently closes, you can mark it “Permanently closed” on Google to keep your customers up to date.
If you have only one Business Profile
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google My Business app
.
- At the bottom, tap Profile
View all.
- Tap Mark as permanently closed
OK.
The profile will now appear as permanently closed on Google Maps and Search.
If you have multiple profiles
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google My Business app
.
- From the list, select all the locations that you want to mark "Permanently closed."
- At the bottom, tap Profile
View all.
- Tap Permanently closed
OK.
The location now displays as permanently closed on Google Maps and Search.
If your business location is reported as closed
If Google receives an update that a location is permanently closed, then you might get a “Reported as permanently closed” notification.
- In the notification, tap Reported as permanently closed
Confirm closed.
The profile now displays as “Permanently closed” on Google Maps and Search.
Tip: If any of your locations are mistakenly marked permanently closed, you can reopen the location.
