Transfer primary ownership of a Business Profile

To transfer ownership of an entire business group, follow these steps.

In certain rare cases (such as another user becoming bulk verified), you may want to transfer primary ownership of a Business Profile. Only an owner of a profile can transfer primary ownership. If you’re the only user associated with a profile, you can add additional owners or managers.

To transfer primary ownership of a Business Profile:

  1. Sign in to Business Profile Manager
    • If you have multiple profiles, choose the one you want to manage.
  2. Click Users  from the menu.
  3. In the window that appears, scroll to the name of the user you’d like to transfer primary ownership to. 
  4. From the drop down menu on the right-hand side of their name, select Primary owner
  5. Click Done.

The transfer of ownership happens immediately--no confirmation is necessary from the new primary owner.

Tip: If your organization expects to receive lots of requests to manage Business Profiles, you may want to set up an internal process to collect the names and profiles of these managers and add them in a single session rather than respond to requests as you receive them.
