Remove a location

If you don’t want to manage a location anymore, you can remove it from your account. Once you remove a location, you’ll no longer manage it, but it will continue to appear on Google. 

Note: Removing a location from your account can’t be undone. If you want to manage the location again, you’ll need to reverify it.

Remove one listing

  1. Sign in to Google My Business.
  2. In the menu on the left, click Info.
  3. Click Close or remove this listing and then Remove listing and then Remove.

Remove multiple listings

  1. Sign in to Google My Business.
  2. From the list of locations, select one or more locations that you want to remove.
  3. Click Actions and then Remove locations and then Remove.

Note: When you try to remove multiple locations at once, some locations may return an error. In this case, you must click into each location and remove each location individually.

If you’re using the mobile app

Currently, you can’t remove a location from your account while using the Google My Business mobile app. Use a desktop computer instead.

Remove a location from Maps

If a location never existed, is ineligible to appear on Google, or shows an incorrect address, you can request to have it removed from Maps. 

You can request to remove a location even if you don’t manage it.

  1. Navigate to Google Maps
  2. Find the location.
  3. Click Suggest an edit.
  4. Mark the location as "Place is permanently closed or has never existed" and choose the appropriate reason.
  5. Click Submit.​

Once you submit the request, we review your suggestion. You may receive an email about the status of your request and questions from our review team, if any. If approved, the suggested location will be removed from Maps.
