You can use a website builder or content management system (CMS) to finish setting up your Google tag automatically, or you can install your tag manually. To ensure you get accurate measurement, make sure your tag is installed on every page of your site.
For subtitles in your language, turn on YouTube captions. Select the Settings icon found in the video player, then select Subtitles/CC and choose your language.

Before you begin
Some website builders and CMS platforms don't provide integrated support for the Google tag. These platforms may not accept every tag ID format.
If you can’t find your platform in the list below, you can install your Google tag manually.

Step 1 of 2: Find your Google tag installation instructions
To install the Google tag, you need to find your installation instructions. You can find the instructions by following these steps, depending on your platform:
Google Analytics
- In your Google Analytics account, go to the
Admin.
- In
Data streams, choose a stream to see details.
- Select View tag instructions.
Google Ads
- In your Google Ads account, select
Tools .
- Select Data manager.
- Under “Google tag”, select Manage.
- Next to “Your Google tag”, select Installation instructions.
Step 2 of 2: Choose your platform
Method 1: Set up with a website builder or CMS platform
Click Select your platform and choose your website builder or CMS platform from the list. You can also select your platform in the list below to review platform-specific instructions for installing your Google tag.
When you're done you can choose to test your website with Tag Assistant.

If your website builder or CMS platform doesn’t have integrated support for Google tag, you can choose to install manually.
Once you find your installation instructions in step 1, follow these steps:
- Select Install manually.
- Copy the provided Google tag snippet.
- Go to your website builder or CMS dashboard.
- Find your platform’s custom HTML, header code, or custom code field.
- Paste the entire tag snippet in the code of every page of your website, immediately after the <head> element. Don’t add more than one Google tag to each page. If you have an existing Google tag on the page, you can add multiple destinations to a single tag.
- In the “Test your website” section, enter your website URL and select Test.
If you're setting up your Google tag from within your Google Analytics account, there are some additional platforms that accept a Google tag that begins with "G-". Review platforms that accept this tag ID format
