TrueView video formats
Types of video ads that give viewers the choice over which advertisers' messages they want to see and when.
- TrueView video ads are a family of formats that give viewers choice and control over which advertisers' messages they want to see and when. Each format appears in a different context, and viewers will be able to interact with each format in a different way.
- You can create TrueView ads in AdWords. These ads use cost-per-view (CPV) bidding and can appear on both YouTube and other publisher sites in the Google Display Network.
CPV bidding is the default way to set the price you'll pay for your TrueView video ads (when created with AdWords). With CPV bidding, you'll pay for video views and other video interactions (such as clicks on the call-to-action overlays (CTAs), cards, and companion banners), whichever comes first.
- TrueView video ads can lead to higher quality conversions, and are especially effective for brand campaigns.
- Where will the ads appear? TrueView in-stream video ads can appear on YouTube Videos (Watch pages on YouTube) and on video publisher pages in the Google Display Network (includes YouTube).
