The Google guarantee
When you book an eligible home service pro on Google, you are protected by the Google guarantee. If you’re not satisfied with the work quality, Google may refund up to the amount paid for the job
How it works
To benefit from the Google guarantee, there are two steps:
Step 1: Activate the Google guarantee
Complete this form to activate the guarantee. You’ll be asked for contact info and a few details about the job. If you have questions, please contact email@example.com.
Step 2: Submit a claim
If an issue arises, you may contact customer support at (844) 885-0761 to submit a claim. The team investigates and decides on a resolution.
What it covers
- If you are dissatisfied with work quality, we’ll cover claims up to the job invoice amount, with a lifetime cap of $2,000.
- Job must be booked through Home Services. Add-on or future projects, damages to property, dissatisfaction with price or provider responsiveness, and cancellations are not covered.
- Jobs completed before September 14, 2016, are not covered.
- You can identify an eligible pro because they have the Google guaranteed symbol by their name and on their profile page. Currently, locksmith and plumbing jobs are covered.
