In order to link an AdMob app to Firebase, you must have the following permissions for AdMob, Firebase, and Google Analytics:
- For multi-user AdMob accounts, you must be the user who initiated the first link to Firebase and accepted the Firebase Terms of Service. The user who created the first Firebase link is the only user who can create new links between AdMob and Firebase apps.
- In Firebase, you must have the
firebase.links.create
permission. This permission is included in the owner role and the Firebase admin role. If you don't have either of these roles, you can ask a project owner to assign one of these roles to your account via the Firebase console IAM settings. - In Google Analytics, you must have the Edit role or Manage Users role for the property associated with the Firebase project. AdMob had problems connecting to Firebase when you tried to link your app. Please refresh the page and try linking your app again.
If you still have issues:
- Confirm that you're using the same email address for both AdMob and Firebase.
- Confirm that the project you're linking to hasn't been deleted.
There is a limit to the number of projects a Firebase account may create. If the limit has been reached, you'll receive an error when you try to link an AdMob app to a new project.
This error is most commonly triggered if you try to create more than 11 projects within the first 24 hours of linking your first AdMob app to Firebase.

Another user has already linked an app from your shared AdMob account to Firebase, but you haven’t been granted access to the Google Analytics for Firebase data.
To gain access to the Google Analytics for Firebase data, you will need to contact that user and ask them to grant you access through the Firebase console.
