Set up a bidding ad source

Bidding ad sources compete in a real-time auction to fill your ad requests, which allows them to compete equally in a single, unified auction. This helps ensure you’re getting the highest revenue for your impressions.

Learn more about how bidding works and the types of bidding ad sources. Note that some bidding ad sources don’t require set up and will automatically appear in your account as part of the AdMob Network.

To set up a bidding ad source:

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://admob.google.com.
  2. Click Mediation in the sidebar.
  3. Click the Bidding sources tab.
  4. Click Set up ad source
  5. Select the ad source you want to set up from the list that appears.

Note: You must have a partnership with the bidding ad source before it can accept ad requests from your AdMob account. In many cases, this is as simple as creating an account on the ad source's home page.

Learn more about the bidding ad sources available and how to set up a partnership.
  6. Click Next
  7. If this ad source requires secure signal sharing, you’ll be asked to accept the Ads Data Processing Terms. Click Accept terms. If you’ve already accepted these terms for another ad source, you won’t be asked again.
  8. Depending on the ad source you selected, you’ll see one of the following options:
    • Sign a partnership agreement: This takes you directly to the partnership agreement on the ad source’s website. To ensure the form loads properly on the ad source’s website, we recommend turning off your ad blocker. Once you’ve signed the agreement, return to your AdMob account.
    • How to sign a partnership agreement: Follow the instructions on how to sign a partnership agreement with your ad source. You must have a partnership agreement in place before you can send ad requests to the ad source.

If you already have a partnership agreement with the ad source, click I already have a partnership agreement.

  9. Click Acknowledge & agree to accept the terms of using bidding. This adds the bidding ad source to your ad source page. Once the partnership is active, this ad source can accept ad requests from your app.
  10. (if applicable) Add the ad unit mapping details for your ad units. You can also skip this step by clicking Skip and add the ad unit mapping details later.
  11. Click Save.

The bidding ad source must approve your partnership request before the ad source can accept ad requests from your account. Your partnership status will be marked as Pending while the ad source reviews your partnership request.

Once approved, your partnership status will change to Active. You can monitor your partnership status from the Partnership tab of the ad source.

Add your ad source to a mediation group

After you’ve finished setting up your ad source, you’re ready to add it to a mediation group. Learn how to create a new mediation group or follow the instructions below to add your ad source to an existing mediation group:
