Mediation

Set up a bidding partnership in your account

You can now set up a partnership with select bidding ad sources directly in your AdMob account.

To send an ad request to a bidding ad source, you must have an active partnership agreement with the ad source. If you don’t have a partnership agreement, you can sign one for the following ad sources while adding the ad source to your mediation group:

  • Ad Generation
  • ENGINE Media Exchange (EMX)
  • Equativ (formerly Smart AdServer)
  • Fluct
  • Index Exchange
  • Media.net
  • Meta Audience Network
  • Nexxen
  • OneTag Exchange
  • OpenX
  • PubMatic
  • Rubicon (Magnite)
  • Sharethrough
  • Smaato
  • Sonobi
  • Verve Group
  • Yieldmo
  • YieldOne

Note: You only need to sign the partnership agreement once for each ad source.

Also note that there are more ad sources that support bidding. Learn more about all the bidding ad sources and how to set up partnerships with them.

Set up a bidding ad source & sign a partnership agreement

  1. Sign in to your AdMob account at https://apps.admob.com.
  2. Click Mediation in the sidebar.
  3. Click the Bidding sources tab.
  4. Click Set up ad source
  5. Select the ad source you want to set up from the list that appears.
  6. Click Next
  7. If this ad source requires secure signal sharing, you’ll be asked to accept the Ads Data Processing Terms. Click Accept terms. If you’ve already accepted these terms for another ad source, you won’t be asked again.
  8. Click Sign a new partnership agreement. This opens another confirmation pop-up.
  9. Click View & Sign. By signing this agreement, you consent to sharing your publisher ID with the ad source.
  10. A new tab automatically opens with the partnership agreement on the ad source’s website. To ensure the form loads properly on the ad source’s website, we recommend turning off your ad blocker.
    1. Once you’ve signed the agreement, go back to the tab with your AdMob account. If you closed the tab with your AdMob account, repeat steps 1 through 4. Then, click Go to step 2.
    2. If you already have a partnership agreement with the ad source:
      1. Click Go to step 2
  11. Click Acknowledge & agree to accept the terms of using bidding. This adds the bidding ad source to your mediation group.
  12. Once your partnership request is approved by the ad source, the ad source will email you their seller information for you to update your app-ads.txt file.

The bidding ad source must approve your partnership request before the ad source can accept ad requests from your account. Your partnership status will be marked as Pending while the ad source reviews your partnership request. This typically takes 2 business days.

Once approved, your partnership status will change to Active. You can monitor your partnership status in the Mediation section of your AdMob account.

Expand all  Collapse all
Why doesn’t an ad source have their partnership agreement available to sign in AdMob?
Not all ad sources are currently available for this feature. Only participating ad sources have this option available. Learn more about the available ad sources.
Why is my partnership status pending?

After you sign the partnership agreement, your partnership status is marked as Pending while the ad source reviews your request. This typically takes 2 business days.

If you haven’t heard back after two business days, reach out to the ad source directly.

Why has my partnership request been rejected?

This is the ad source’s decision. Google does not have insight into why they rejected your partnership request. Reach out directly to the ad source for more information.

Note: The ad source can still approve you at a later date. You can resubmit a partnership request from your AdMob account.
I have a question about the third-party ad source’s partnership agreement.
Reach out directly to the ad source if you have questions about their partnership agreement.
I’ve completed the partnership agreement with my ad source. Why hasn’t “Partnership status” been updated?
Once you have completed the partnership agreement on the ad source’s website, you must then acknowledge and agree to the bidding terms in your AdMob account. After you click Acknowledge & agree, your status will be changed to Pending while the ad source reviews your request.

  1.  Sign in to your AdMob account at https://apps.admob.com.

  4. Click Add ad source in the bidding ad sources table.
  5. Find the ad source in the list that appears or begin typing the name of the ad source in the search box. Click Select next to the ad source you want to add.
  6. Click Go to step 2. (Only click Go to step 2 if you've already completed the partnership agreement with this ad source).
  7. Click Acknowledge & agree to accept the terms of using bidding. This adds the bidding ad source to your mediation group.
  8. Once your partnership request is approved by the ad source, the ad source will email you their seller information for you to update your app-ads.txt file.
The ad source approved me, and I’ve added them to a mediation group. Why don’t I have any bids?

First, ensure that you’ve added necessary information to app-ads.txt for this ad source.  The ad source will have emailed you this information to you after approving your request.

If you believe your ad source should be responding or is trying to respond and you’re not receiving bids, reach out directly to that ad source’s support.
