To avoid unwanted interactions, you can block other users in certain Google products, like Google Chat and Photos. When you block, you block a specific Google Account.
To block another person's account, use the "Block" action in one of these products.
Find blocked accounts or unblock someone
- On your computer, at the top right, click your Profile picture or initial
Manage your Google Account.
- Click People & sharing.
- In the "Contacts" section, click Blocked.
- You'll find a list of accounts you blocked across Google products. To unblock someone, next to that person's name, select Remove
.
Tip: The "Blocked users" list doesn't include:
- Accounts blocked through YouTube channels or live chat.
- Blocked email addresses.
- Phone numbers you blocked with the phone app of your Android phone or iPhone.
Block an email address or phone number
In addition to blocking a user’s Google Account, you may also have the option to block someone’s phone number or email. These blocks do not block users across all of the Google products listed on this page. For example, you can:
- Block email addresses in Gmail
- Block phone numbers on your Pixel and Nexus phones
- Block phone numbers in Google Fi
- Block phone numbers in Google Voice
- Block phone numbers in Google Meet
Email addresses blocked in Gmail and phone numbers blocked in your phone app don't show up in the "Blocked users" section of your account. They also don't take effect across Google products.
Phone numbers blocked in Google Fi, Google Voice, or Google Meet appear in the “Blocked users” section of your account. They take effect across Google Fi, Google Voice, and Google Meet, but not other Google products.
