If you're migrating to Google Workspace, you can migrate calendar events and resources using the data migration service if you're migrating from Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, or Exchange Online (Microsoft 365).
You must be signed in as a super administrator for this task.
Before you begin
- Before you can use the data migration service, you need to complete steps in the account you're migrating from. For details on setting up your source account, go to Prepare your source account.
- Complete the steps below to set up the data migration service to migrate calendar events and resources.
Step 1: Set up the data migration service

Option 1: Set up Exchange Online- Make sure you complete the steps in Prepare your source account: Exchange Online.
- For Migration Start Date, accept the option that appears or choose a start date for your migration.
For details, go to Exclude old email messages or calendar events.
- (Optional) To include secondary calendars, check the Migrate secondary calendars box.
- If you're changing the email address of users or calendar resources, click Upload Identity MappingsAttach File and navigate to your identity mapping CSV file.
For details, go to Use CSV files with the data migration service.
- Click Select Users and move to Step 2: Complete the migration (below on this page).

Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using an account with super administrator privileges (does not end in @gmail.com).

In the Admin console, go to Menu DataData import & exportData migration (New).

Click Go to classic migration service.
- Click Set Data Migration Up.
- For Migration Source, select your version of Exchange.
- Select Calendar as the data type.
- For Connection Protocol, choose an option:
- Auto Select (Recommended)
- Exchange Web Services (EWS) and for Server URI, enter your EWS server name (for example, https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx).
- For Role Account, enter the email address and password for your role account.
- Click Start.
- If the connection was unsuccessful, verify that the role account and connection protocol information is correct and then click Start.
- For Migration Start Date, accept the option that appears or choose a start date for your migration.
For details, go to Exclude old email messages or calendar events.
- (Optional) To include secondary calendars, check the Migrate secondary calendars box.
- (Optional) If you're changing the email address of users or calendar resources, click Upload Identity MappingsAttach File and navigate to your identity mapping CSV file.

- Click Select Users and move to Step 2: Complete the migration (below on this page).
Step 2: Complete the migration

Migrate calendar events for a single user- Click Add user.
- For Source Email, enter the user's source email address.
- For Google Workspace Email, start entering the user's new email address and choose from the list of suggested users.
- Click Start.
- (Optional) To migrate another user's calendar events, repeat these steps.
Tip: To exit a completed migration, click MoreExit migration.
- Click Add calendar resource.
- For Source Email, enter the calendar resource's email address on the source account.
- For Google Workspace Email, enter the calendar resource's new email address.

- Click Start.
- (Optional) To migrate another calendar resource, repeat these steps.
Tip: To exit a completed migration, click MoreExit migration.
- Click Bulk upload with csv.
- Click Attach File and upload the migration CSV file.
This file might differ from the identity mapping CSV file because it contains the users and calendar resources that you want to migrate. For details, go to About the CSV files.
- Click Upload and Start Migration.
- If there are errors in your file, choose an option:
- To update the file, click Cancel. Then, upload the updated file.
- To ignore the incorrect mappings, check the Ignore errors box.
Tip: To exit a completed migration, click MoreExit migration.
Where do I find a calendar resource email address?

Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

In the Admin console, go to Menu AppsGoogle WorkspaceCalendar.
- Click Resources.
- Click a calendar resource name (for example, NYC-14-12-Boardroom-15) to view its details.
Under Resource email, you can find the calendar resource email address. Example: solarmora.com_37r2903631@resource.calendar.google.com
