Sign in to your Admin console

As a Google Apps administrator, you use the Google Admin console to manage your organization’s account, such as add new users, manage security settings, and turn on Google services you want your team to access.

If you signed up your business, school, or government agency for a Google for Work account, or if your account administrator gave you special privileges, you can sign in to your Google Admin console to manage the account settings.

Sign in to Admin console

Detailed steps:

  1. In any web browser, go to admin.google.com.
  2. On the sign-in page, enter your Google administrator address and password. Forgot your password?
  3. Click Sign in.

If another screen appears asking for your email address and password, just enter this information again.

Arrive at the Admin console dashboard

After you sign in, you go to your Admin console dashboard. Here, you'll find controls for managing your team's Google user accounts and services. If you don't see dashboard controls but instead see your list of apps, it means you don't have administrator privileges. If this doesn't seem right, ask another Google administrator to give you these privileges. For details, see Grant administrator privileges.

Find your own apps in the grid

Once you're signed in to your Admin console, you can find your own Gmail inbox and services by opening the grid at the top of the console and choosing the service. Get back to the console afterwards by choosing Admin from the grid (to see the Admin control, you might have to click More).

Why did I have to sign in twice?

If your company is using a Single-Sign-On (SSO) service with your Google account, then signing in to your account from admin.google.com sends you to a second sign-in page. From here, you'll sign in not just to your Admin console, but to other programs or services your company has set up with SSO (so you don’t have to sign in to each one separately). Just enter the sign-in name and password your administrator gave you.

Here’s a shortcut! Next time you go to admin.google.com to sign in to your console, you can skip entering your password on the Google sign-in page (just enter your sign-in name). You’ll still be taken to the SSO sign in page and should enter both your name and password there.

For details, see Signing in with SSO.

I read everything here but still can't sign in

Remember that to sign in from admin.google.com, you must:

  • Use your organization's Google Apps address (not an address that ends in gmail.com).
  • Have administrator privileges (in order to see your organization's Admin console).

If you forgot your password, see Reset your administrator password. If you're still having trouble signing in, see Can't access the Admin console.

I'm a reseller trying to access my customer's Admin console
If you're a reseller trying to sign in to one of your customer’s Admin consoles, go to admin.google.com/customer_domain. Then sign in with either your own reseller account name and password, or use an administrator account at the customer's domain. For more information, see Set up reseller access to the customer's Admin console.

Have other Google accounts? If you have other Google accounts that have different names and passwords, you can make it easy to switch between accounts on the same computer without signing in each time. For details, see Sign in to multiple accounts.
