3 strike copyright system is unfair

I just had a second video pulled and received a second strike. Both videos had been up for awhile and had been monetized by their copyright holders. One video had been up for months and gotten 20-30k views before it was randomly pulled and I received a second strike.

This seems unfair, they shouldn't be able to monetize and leave up my video only to pull it and give me a strike out of nowhere. Clearly they have the right to take it down but after monetizing it for months and getting thousands of views which amount to free advertising essentially they shouldn't be able to give me a strike too...

That just seems unfair and unnecessary. Now if I get 1 more strike I will lose my account and all the hard work I put into sharing music, all becouse a few companies randomly decided to pull videos & give me a strike... Meanwhile the vast majority of music I share is just monetized by the copyright holders who clearly appreciate the free advertising.

If I lose my account I will completely stop using youtube as that just seems unnecessarily cruel and I refuse to support any sites that strict and one sided to it's users.
