Get the Merchandise shelf on YouTube

The merchandise shelf allows some creators to showcase their official branded merchandise on YouTube. The merch shelf appears on the video page of eligible channels. The shelf may not show on all videos.

Viewers can buy merch if they are in the following countries or regions:

The merch shelf is gradually rolling out to some creators in the YouTube Partner Program.

Eligibility

To be considered for the merchandise shelf, you have to meet these minimum requirements:

Enable the merchandise shelf for your channel

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio beta.
  2. In the left menu, click Monetization.
  3. Click the Merchandise tab. You'll only see this option if your channel is eligible.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to get your Teespring Store ID and link it to your YouTube channel.
Pause or disable the merchandise shelf for your channel
  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio beta.
  2. In the left menu, click Monetization.
  3. Click the Merchandise tab.
  4. You can temporarily pause the merch shelf by toggling the switch next to "Merchandise enabled across your videos."
  5. You can disable the feature by clicking Disconnect account at the bottom.
Choose how items appear on your shelf

Items on your merchandise shelf are automatically selected and arranged for you. You can pick up to 12 specific items and order them yourself.

To arrange your shelf

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio beta.
  2. In the left menu, click Monetization.
  3. Click the Merchandise tab. You'll only see this option if your channel is eligible
  4. Click Organize on the “Status" card.
  5. Drag, drop, and order up to 12 items. Viewers may see fewer items depending on the device they’re using.
    • On desktop: The first 4-5 items will appear, and viewers will have to interact with the shelf to see more items.
    • On mobile: Only the first item is displayed on mobile devices. Viewers can see the other items by interacting with the shelf.
  6. Click Save.

To go back to automatic arrangement

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio beta.
  2. In the left menu, click Monetization.
  3. Click the Merchandise tab. You'll only see this option if your channel is eligible
  4. Click Organize on the “status card.”
  5. Drag and drop all items back to the inventory list or clear the selection.
  6. Click Save.
Note: You’ll have to use Teespring to create and manage merchandise that’s sold on YouTube. After you create merch, it may take 1-2 days to show up on YouTube.

What do I get paid?
As part of the partnership between Teespring and YouTube, Teespring will pay creators in the U.S. an extra $1 USD "YouTube bonus" for every eligible item sold. If you’re outside the United States, Teespring.com will pay a bonus in your local currency that’s equivalent to $1 USD - this bonus is subject to exchange rate fluctuations.
You’ll get this bonus if the buyer was referred from the merch shelf any time in the 14 consecutive days before their purchase on Teespring.com. The “YouTube bonus” applies to all creators who have linked their Teespring.com store and their YouTube channel, and does not include the sale of stickers.
The "YouTube bonus" payment is paid in addition to the payments that Teespring.com pays to creators for their merch sales in accordance with the agreement between Teespring and creators.
When do I get paid?
The "YouTube bonus" payments will be paid by Teespring on a monthly basis until the end of June 2019.
Where do I see my payment reports?
All payments, including the "YouTube bonus" payments, are viewable in Teespring creator dashboards and reports.
