I am a nonprofit. Can I fundraise on my own YouTube channel?
To set up a YouTube Giving fundraiser, your channel has to meet certain eligibility requirements.
I want to make sure that my nonprofit is eligible for fundraising with YouTube Giving by a YouTube creator. How do I do that?
Eligible creators can raise money for your nonprofit with YouTube Giving. To be eligible to receive money from a YouTube Giving fundraiser, a nonprofit must:
- Be requested by a creator.
- Be a US-registered 501(c)(3) public charity.
- Be a member of Google for Nonprofits.
- Be opted into online fundraising via GuideStar.
- Follow YouTube's monetisation policies both on and off YouTube. These policies include following YouTube's community guidelines.

To be eligible to receive money from a YouTube Giving fundraiser, a nonprofit must meet the nonprofit eligibility criteria.

- Your nonprofit has opted out of online fundraising. Nonprofits must give the go-ahead for you to fundraise for them online. Learn more about how to opt in to receive third-party donations.
- Your nonprofit is doing business under another name. YouTube Giving uses nonprofit name data from GuideStar. Try searching by EIN in the request tool.
- Your nonprofit is not a part of Google for Nonprofits. The nonprofit can request a Google for Nonprofits account.
- Your nonprofit is not a Guidestar-registered US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Look them up on guidestar.org to confirm that the nonprofit is there.
My nonprofit is based outside the United States. Can a creator fundraise for my nonprofit?
YouTube Giving fundraising is only available for US nonprofits that meet the eligibility criteria. If your nonprofit isn't eligible, here are some other ways to fundraise on YouTube.

Donation disbursement FAQs
How does my nonprofit get the donations raised through YouTube Giving?
Google partners with Network for Good to collect and distribute the donations at Google's request. To get donations, you will have to opt in to receiving money from Network for Good.
100% of contributions go to the nonprofit and YouTube will pay transaction fees. As required by the US IRS, Network for Good has exclusive legal control over the donations once received. If Network for Good cannot disburse the funds to the nonprofit selected by the YouTube creator, Network for Good will distribute the funds to an alternative qualified US nonprofit. How does my nonprofit opt in to receive donation payments?
Before you start: Check if your organisation is eligible to receive funds from Network for Good by searching their database.
Follow these instructions to opt in to receive third-party donations through GuideStar.
Payment timing
Donations are disbursed by Network for Good, a US 501(c)(3) and donor-advised fund, that collects and distributes the funds to the nonprofits. It may take up to two months for a donation to reach your nonprofit. If less than $10 was raised, the funds will be dispersed annually. Learn more about donation disbursement.
Update your disbursements
One of the requirements for YouTube Giving fundraisers is having a direct deposit set up with Network for Good. Learn more about how to register for a direct deposit.
As required by the IRS, Network for Good has exclusive legal control over the donations once received. If Network for Good cannot disburse the funds to the nonprofit selected by the YouTube creator, Network for Good will distribute the funds to an alternative qualified US nonprofit at its discretion.
