If you're eligible and use a supported platform or retailer, you can turn on Shopping features for your channel via a desktop or mobile device. To turn on Shopping features for your channel, you must connect one or more of the supported platforms or retailers with YouTube.
YouTube Shopping: tag and sell products from your shop
If you're eligible but don't sell your products through a supported platform or retailer, visit their site to set up your shop. Then connect your shop with YouTube. If you want to work with one of the below retailers or platforms, go to their site to set up your shop.
If you use a supported retailer or platform to sell your products, you can connect your shop. Once your shop has been connected, you can turn on Shopping features for your channel.

Connect your shops with YouTube
You can connect your official shop with YouTube to sell your own products on YouTube. You can also link more than one shop and display products from each shop in the same video, Short or live stream.
- Use a computer to sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the left menu, select Earn.
- Click the Shopping tab. This tab will only surface if your channel is eligible.
- Click Get started if you haven't already connected YouTube with a Shopping retailer or platform. Otherwise, click Connect new shop on the product card.

Follow the on-screen instructions to link your official merchandise shop to your YouTube channel.
You can find a full list of your shops in the 'Products' section of the Shopping tab. Link as many shops as you need.
At any time, you can connect another shop or disconnect your shop. You can also learn how to manage the products from your shop on YouTube.
Shopify
Check your admin permissions
Before connecting your Shopify shop with YouTube, make sure that you're using the same email address for both YouTube and Shopify. The email address should have admin access on both accounts.
Check that your email address has owner/manager access on YouTube
- Use a computer to sign in to YouTube Studio or open the YouTube Studio mobile app .
- Go to your Settings.
- Under Permissions, you can check which email address has manager or owner access to your channel or edit your permissions.

Connect your Shopify shop with YouTube
To connect your Shopify shop with YouTube, select Shopify from the list of retailers in YouTube Studio or the YouTube Studio mobile app Go to Shopify:
- Within Shopify, add the Google & YouTube app to your shop and follow the instructions on-screen to complete setup. For more info, take a look at this setup guide.
- Once you've installed the Google & YouTube app, connect your Google Account to the Google & YouTube app:
- Go to your Shopify admin page.
- Open Settings Apps and sales channels.
- From the list of channels, select Google.
- At the top, select Settings Google Account. Make sure that the email listed has admin access to your YouTube channel.
- Once you've installed the Google & YouTube app, connect your Google Account to the Google & YouTube app:
- From the Google & YouTube app, select Overview YouTube Shopping Get started.
- Select the YouTube channel that you'd like to connect to Shopify.
- If your email address is used to manage multiple YouTube channels, they will surface in this list. Double-check that you're selecting the correct channel to connect with Shopify.
- Read the programme rules carefully and agree to the terms.
- Select Complete setup.
After your shop has been connected, we'll review your products for compliance with our policies and the Google Merchant Center policies. This process typically takes a few working days.
If we find that items that you've submitted do not follow our policies, we will disapprove individual items. To appeal disapproved items, get in touch with your merch retailer or your online shop admin, who can use Google Merchant Center to submit disapproved items for review.
Show your products on your shop shelf
Your shop shelf allows viewers on mobile to discover your channel shop and browse your products from your channel homepage. Products on your shelf include details like product image, name, price and a 'View all' button that viewers can click to visit your shop. You may move the shelf or remove the shelf from your homepage when you customise your channel homepage on a desktop.
By default, your shop shelf will appear at the top of your channel homepage. To move it:
- Use a computer to sign in to YouTube Studio.
- From the menu, select Customisation Home tab Products from shop.
- Reposition the shelf using drag and drop.
Your shop shelf will automatically be enabled on your channel. To turn it off:
- Use a computer to sign in to YouTube Studio.
- From the menu, select Customisation Home tab Products from shop.
- Toggle the switch off.
Disconnect your shop from YouTube
To disconnect a shop from your channel:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the left menu, click Earn.
- Click the Shopping tab.
- Click More next to the connected shop and select Remove shop.
Shop policies
The products that you feature in your shop must comply with the YouTube Terms of Service, including these policies:
- YouTube monetisation policies
- YouTube Community Guidelines
- Paid product placements and endorsements policy
- Google Shopping policies including the prohibited content policy
If you violate these terms and policies, it could result in any or either of the below in accordance with these policies:
- Suspension or termination of Shopping features
- Account termination
No content, merchandise or services that you (or any entity, person or artist featured in any content or merchandise on the channel or video page) offer with the Shopping features displayed subjects or will subject Google to the terms of any agreements that may apply to the content, merchandise and services without Google's express prior written approval of such agreements.
If you don't agree with any of the above, do not turn on Shopping features for your channel. You can also turn off Shopping features at any time.
