Order food with Google

You can order food from restaurants in your search results or the Google Assistant on your phone (US only). Your choice of restaurants depends on their delivery options.

To order food this way, you must order within the U.S., Australia, Canada, or India, in English.

Step 1: Pick a restaurant

From search results
  1. Go to Google.
  2. Enter a search for a restaurant. Scroll down until you see info and images for the restaurant.
  3. Choose an ordering option.
Note: If you don't see a button for placing an order, the restaurant isn't available.
  4. For delivery, check your address. To add or change your address, tap Edit Edit.
  5. Choose the provider service you want to use.
From the Google Assistant
  1. On your phone, open the Google Assistant.
  2. Say or type a search for a restaurant.
  3. At the bottom of the screen, tap Delivery or Pickup.
  4. Choose the provider service you want to use.

Step 2: Choose your food

  1. On the menu, choose the food you want. If you're using the Google Assistant, saying what you want won't work.
  2. If needed, pick options or enter a note. For example, which toppings you want, or ask for vegetarian.
  3. Select Add to order.
  4. To add a different item, choose it on the menu.

Step 3: Check out

  1. Review your order. If you're on your phone, tap Go to order.
  2. Select Checkout.
  3. Select Place order. You'll get an email with a copy of your receipt.
    • Note: When you enter your CVC to use a payment method, you might see a temporary charge on your account. The charge will be reversed after your card is verified.

Depending on the provider service and restaurant, you could get status updates.
