See or remove cards in your feed

You can see useful information without asking for it by looking at cards in your Google app feed. Cards show in your feed when it makes the most sense, based on things like the time or location.

See cards

  • On most Android devices, open your Google app Google Search
  • If you have a Pixel phone, Nexus device, or Google Play edition device, instead swipe right on your Home screen.

Remove cards

Stop seeing certain cards

To stop seeing a certain type of card, like updates from a sport team:

  1. At the top right of that kind of card, tap More More.
  2. Tap what you don't want to see.

Note: You can't stop seeing all ads. You can change which ads you see. See Manage ads cards (below).

Turn off your feed completely

To stop seeing all cards in your feed:

  1. Open your Google app Google Search. If you have a Pixel, Nexus, or Google Play edition device, instead swipe right on your Home screen.
  2. Tap Menu Menu and then Settings and then Your feed.
  3. Turn off Show feed.
Bring back cards you removed
  1. Open your Google app Google Search. If you have a Pixel, Nexus, or Google Play edition device, instead swipe right on your Home screen.
  2. Tap Menu Menu and then Settings and then Your feed.
  3. Under "Get notified about," turn on the cards you want to see.
Manage ad cards

Ads can show in your feed. You can recognize these cards by the word “Ad” in a bottom corner.

To stop seeing ads from a certain advertiser:

  1. At the top right of an ad from that advertiser, tap More More and then Why am I seeing this ad?
  2. Turn off Show ads from [advertiser].

To change which ads you see, go to Ads Settings.

Your feed can personalize which ads you see based on some of your Google settings and activities. To see and adjust past activity saved to your Google Account, go to My Activity.
