meta description versus meta page-topic?

our website: http://www.thailoveonline.net/ includes meta page-topic and meta description tag. I was wondering how this two meta tags exactly differ?

the value for meta description is:
Free Thai dating, meet your thai wife now and date thai women in our Asian dating site. Dating Thai and discover Thai love with our asian single sites.

while page-topic:
dating, thailand

I didn't remember ever seeing a "page-topic" meta tag discussed before, either here or on Webmasterworld, so I searched a bit. A lot of generic no-name webmaster-help sites mention this tag in their lists of meta tags. It appears that it's a proprietary tag that was once supported by the German search engine fireball.de. According a reference that I can't seem to post a link to, but you can easily find via a Google search for "proprietary engine meta tags":

"Fireball's other unique tag, page-topic had the synonyms pagetopic, thema and seitenthema. page-topic classified a web page into one of 25 categories: Bauen, Bildung, Branche, Dienstleistung, Erotik, Forschung, Gesellschaft, Kultur, Medien, Medizin, Politik, Produkt, Recht, Reise, Religion, Sexualität, Spiel, Sport, Technik, Tourismus, Umwelt, Verwaltung, Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft, and Wohnen. Multiple topics could be separated by spaces."

Google may display your meta description tag in the listing for your site in a search result page, if it matches the words the searcher is searching for.

Google ignores the page-topic meta tag.

Since Google ignores the page-topic meta tag, it doesn't matter what you do with it, at least as far as Google is concerned.

All of that wonderful info bsically means ............ you might as well remove that tag as it's garbage :D

I will be removing the "revisit-after" and "page-topic" meta tags now.
