That's solves the problem just follow the instructions and no need for any restart it works immediately 👍
The idea is to downgrade to the previous version as the latest one causes this problem.

Instructions for the fix:
What you're going to want to do:
- Download the Google App APK on your phone
- Open the Google Play Store, open the side menu, go to settings, hit "Auto-update apps" and never allow (You can turn this back on once Google officially fixes the problem)
- Find the Google app via the Google Play Store and hit uninstall (this will only get rid of recent updates to the app, not that app itself.
- Open your phone's settings and go to : Apps & Notifications > Special app access > Install unknown apps, find the browser you downloaded the APK on, and allow it.
- Find the downloaded APK and install it.
I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly.

Hi Taher,
What phone do you have?
Do other Internet-based Assistant queries function for you? Something like "What's the weather?"
Thanks,
John

Are you using Google's Messages app on your phone for SMS or another application?

And how it it possible that a factory reset will not fix this if it was previously working fine? Makes me think it's bug on Googles end and not anything to do with the watch or the phone.
