Lock your watch screen

You can lock your screen when you're not wearing the watch. Your watch also locks automatically if it loses its Bluetooth connection with your phone.

  1. If you can't see your screen, wake up the watch.
  2. From the top of the screen, swipe down.
  3. Tap Settings Settings.
  4. Scroll down and tap Personalization Personalization.
    • If your watch doesn't show this option, skip this step.
  5. Tap Screen Lock.
  6. Choose how you want to lock your screen and follow the instructions.
    • To turn off screen lock, enter your unlock pattern, pin, or password. Then, scroll down and tap None and then Confirm Done.

If you forget your unlock pattern, pin, or password

If you forget how to unlock your watch, you need to factory reset your watch.

Note: After you reset your watch to factory settings, all apps, settings, and data on your watch are erased.

Step 1: Disconnect and reset your watch

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wear OS by Google app Wear OS by Google.
  2. At the bottom, tap Advanced Settings.
  3. At the bottom, tap Disconnect and then Disconnect.

Step 2: Forget your watch on your iPhone

  1. On your iPhone, open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Bluetooth.
  3. Next to the device you want to forget, tap Information Informationand then Forget this device.
  4. To confirm, tap Forget Device.

Step 3: Set up your watch and phone from the beginning

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wear OS by Google app Wear OS by Google.
  2. Tap Start setup.
  3. To finish reconnecting your watch, follow the instructions on your iPhone.
