Sync your calendar with Waze

Connect your calendar with Waze to get notifications when it's time to leave for upcoming events.

Note: This feature is currently not supported on Android Auto, Android Automotive (AAOS), and CarPlay.

1. Open Waze
2. Tap
3. Tap Plan a drive
4. Tap Connect calendar. A pop-up message will ask you to allow access. 
5. Tap Allow
6. Tap OK

Note: Waze syncs with your device’s default calendar. If you’re using a third-party calendar app, make sure to sync it with the default calendar so your events appear in Waze.

Control which events are added to Waze

All calendars are added by default. Follow these steps to turn off one or more calendars:

1. Open Waze
2. Tap
3. Tap Plan a drive
4. Tap Settings in the top-right corner
5. Tap Your calendars
6. Tap the calendars you want to turn off

Get Time to leave notifications

Time to leave notifications tell you when it’s the best time to leave based on real-time traffic and expected drive time.

Make sure your calendar event has a full address entered for its location, including street name, house number, and city.

Note: If you see an option to "Set address" on the Planned drives screen, it means the address was entered incorrectly and no reminder will be sent. 

To set an address:

1. In your device’s settings, check that your location permission is set to "Allow all the time"
2. Open Waze
3. Tap  
4. Tap Plan a drive
5. Tap Set address, beside the calendar event
