Set up Tagging on HubSpot for Google Analytics

You can measure behavioural data about your site with Google Analytics. Follow the steps in this article to set up a tag for your Google Analytics account with HubSpot.

Before you begin

You can integrate your HubSpot account with Google Analytics for free without a plug-in. To set up this integration, you’ll need:

• A valid Google sign-in
• A Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID ("G-" ID)
• An active HubSpot account

Note: You can use a Google tag ID during setup. You may receive a HubSpot error message, but the setup will save correctly.

Instructions

1. Sign into your HubSpot account.
2. Click the settings gear icon on the top toolbar.
3. On the left side panel, click Website.
4. Select Pages from the 'Website' drop-down menu.
5. Select a domain from the 'Choose a domain to edit its settings' drop-down menu.
6. Click on the 'Integrations' tab below the drop-down menu.
7. Check the 'Integrate with Google Analytics 4' tck box.
8. Enter your Google tag ID in the box provided.
9. Click Save.

It may take up to 30 minutes for data collection to start. You can then use the Realtime report to verify that you're receiving data.
