Manage your Nest Aware subscription on the Google Store

You can manage your Google Nest Aware subscription through the 'Nest subscription management' page. Learn more about how to cancel your subscription, switch Nest Aware subscriptions and payment options.

Cancel your subscription

Important: When you cancel a Nest Aware subscription, you'll lose your sound detection clips and any video that you haven't saved. Before you cancel, learn how to save important clips.

You can cancel your Google Nest Aware subscription on the Google Store through the 'Nest subscription management' page.

To cancel your Nest Aware subscription, you first need to determine where you bought your subscription. Before you cancel, make sure that you check the Nest Aware cancellation policies.

How to cancel if bought through Google Store
  1. Go to the Google Store subscription management page.
  2. Sign in with Google.
  3. On the 'Subscriptions' page, select the subscription that you'd like to cancel.
  4. On the right, select MoreMore and then Cancel subscription.
    Tip: A summary of charges will be provided.
  5. To complete the cancellation, select Cancel subscription.
How to cancel if you bought through the Nest store

From your computer

  1. Go to the Nest subscription management page.
  2. Sign in with your Nest Account.
  3. If you have more than one home, select the home that has the subscription that you want to cancel.
  4. In the 'Subscriptions' section, select the subscription that you’d like to cancel.
  5. Click Cancel subscription.
  6. To complete the cancellation, select Cancel subscription.

From the Nest app

  1. From the Nest app, tap Settings Settings.
    Tip: If you have multiple homes, make sure that you select the right home and camera.
  2. Tap Nest Aware.
  3. You’ll find a screen that lists some features of Nest Aware. At the bottom, select Manage Subscription.
  4. In the 'Subscriptions' section, select the subscription that you’d like to cancel.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription.
  6. To complete the cancellation, select Cancel subscription.

Switch your Nest Aware subscription

Important:

  • You can't purchase any new 1st generation Nest Aware subscriptions after you migrate your Nest account to Google.
  • You can't change your billing plan cycle from monthly to annually or from annually to monthly.
  • You can upgrade from 2nd generation Nest Aware to Nest Aware Plus at any time.

You can switch between Nest Aware and Nest Aware Plus at any time. To change your plan, visit the Google Store subscription management page.

As of 13 July 2023, 1st generation Nest Aware subscriptions will no longer be available for purchase. Any subscriptions that you currently have will continue to renew. For continued coverage, subscribe to the latest Nest Aware.

Change your payment method

You can change the card or payment method that you use to pay for your subscription.

  1. Go to the Google Store subscription management page.
  2. Select Change payment method for the subscription that you'd like to update.
  3. Select a payment method and thenSubmit.
