1. Co jsou upozornění SOS?

   Účelem upozornění SOS je zpřístupnit nouzové informace během přírodních nebo lidmi způsobených katastrof. Shromažďujeme relevantní a směrodatný obsah z internetu, sociálních sítí a služeb Google a na výsledné informace upozorňujeme ve službách Google, jako jsou Vyhledávání a Mapy. V závislosti na povaze krizové situace a vaší poloze se budou zobrazovat aktuální informace od úřadů na místní, národní nebo mezinárodní úrovni. Tyto informace mohou zahrnovat nouzová telefonní čísla a weby, mapy, překlady užitečných výrazů, možnosti poskytnutí daru apod. 

2. Na základě čeho Google rozhoduje, zda zobrazí upozornění SOS?

   Posuzujeme mnoho faktorů, jako je dostupnost internetu v zasažené oblasti, dostupnost oficiálních informací od úřadů státní správy nebo jiných pověřených institucí a rozsah katastrofy. Upozornění SOS jsou obvykle k dispozici v primárních jazycích dotčené oblasti a v angličtině.  

   Nemůžeme zaručit, že upozornění SOS budou k dispozici pro všechny závažné krizové situace, snažíme se však jejich dostupnost rozšiřovat. Pokud máte návrhy na zlepšení, v upozornění SOS klepněte na odkaz Zpětná vazba. Za jakékoli přispění budeme vděční.

3. Odkud pochází obsah upozornění SOS?

   Po celém světě máme týmy, které shromažďují obsah od úřadů státní správy, svědků katastrof, důvěryhodných médií a nevládních organizací. Kromě toho používáme informace z aplikací a služeb Google, jako jsou Zprávy Google, Mapy Google, Waze a další.

4. Jak mohu dostávat upozornění SOS?

   Pokud se nacházíte v okolí místa zasaženého závažnou krizovou situací a vyhledáte na Googlu související slova nebo sousloví, může se zobrazit banner s upozorněním na probíhající krizovou situaci, který bude dále obsahovat nouzové informace a zdroje, např. užitečné překlady nebo telefonní čísla. Pokud máte nainstalovanou nejnovější verzi aplikace Google (pro Android nebo iOS) a zapnuté určování polohy, může se vám také zobrazit oznámení na ploše mobilního zařízení. Klepnutím na oznámení zobrazíte celé upozornění ve Vyhledávání Google.

   Pokud jste mimo krizovou oblast, oznámení nedostanete, ale upozornění SOS se může zobrazit, když budete vyhledávat informace o události. Tyto informace se mohou lišit od údajů pro uživatele, kteří se nachází blíže ke krizové oblasti. Namísto nouzových telefonních čísel se například může zobrazit odkaz k poskytnutí daru v souvislosti s danou krizí.

   Pokud používáte Mapy Google a v zobrazené oblasti jsou aktivní nějaká upozornění, mohou se upozornění SOS zobrazit také přímo na mapě. Kliknutím na ikonu o krizi zobrazíte další informace, například užitečná telefonní čísla a weby.

5. Proč se mi upozornění SOS nezobrazují?

   Pokud se vám v průběhu krizové situace nezobrazují upozornění SOS, může to mít tyto důvody:

   • Váš vyhledávací dotaz může být příliš široký. Zkuste vyhledat klíčová slova, která zahrnují jak typ pohromy, tak zasaženou oblast. 
   • Je možné, že stále ještě shromažďujeme a ověřujeme informace a upozornění SOS zatím není k dispozici. Za nějakou dobu se sem vraťte a podívejte se, jak se krizová situace vyvíjí. 
   • Je možné, že pro tuto situaci upozornění SOS nemáme v plánu aktivovat. Snažíme se, aby upozornění SOS byla dostupná pro co nejvíce krizových situací. Prozatím můžete navštívit účet Google Crisis Response na Twitteru, kde naleznete informace o tom, jak podporujeme další formy reakcí na krizové situace, například poskytování grantů, zprostředkování dobrovolnictví nebo zveřejňování sbírek satelitních snímků.

6. Jak mohu poskytnout zpětnou vazbu k obsahu upozornění SOS?

   V horní části upozornění klepněte na odkaz Zpětná vazba a napište nám svůj názor. Váš komentář nebo návrh si co nejdříve přečteme.

   To search for floods near you:

2. How do the Flood Forecasting models work?

   To provide Flood Forecasting, we monitor historical and real-time water level measurements and precipitation forecasts. We use data that’s either publicly available or available to Google through partnerships with local governments. Based on this information, we run 2 main types of machine learning models:

   • Hydrologic models: Provides forecasts of river water levels for upcoming days.
   • Inundation models: Provides forecasts for the flood extent on the ground. This information tells us who to notify and helps us provide flood maps on Google Maps.

3. How does Google decide when to show a Flood Forecasting alert?

   Google displays a Flood Forecasting alert when the water in a river is higher than a warning level or is expected to be higher than a warning level. Warning levels estimate when a river will flood and are usually based on historical flood events. Government agencies that manage floods provide warning levels to Google.

   Google Flood Forecasting alerts are updated several times a day, based on real-time local data. If an alert is no longer active, Google removes it from Search and Maps results.

    

4. Who receives Flood Forecasting notifications?

   Once an upcoming flood is identified, Google sends notifications. Notifications go to people who have their smartphone location services turned on and who are located in the area that’s flooded or expected to flood. If you aren’t near an area that’s flooded or expected to flood, you won’t get a Google flood forecast notification.

5. Turn off Flood Forecasting notifications

   You’ll find Flood Forecasting notifications as part of the Google Search Application notifications. On Android devices, it’s available as a system app. On iPhones and iPads, you can install the Google app from the Apple App Store.

   To turn off Flood Forecasting notifications, turn off “Crisis Alerts” notifications.

   If you are within a supported area, and search for a flooded area in a specific location via google search app, you’ll find a flood forecast in your Search page results. If your location services are turned on and you search for floods without a location specified, you’ll see a flood forecast if there’s flooding near you.

2. How can I find fire alerts?

   To search for fire alerts near you:

3. How does Google generate fire alerts?

   We generate fire alerts with a deep learning model that tracks fire boundaries with real-time satellite imagery. The model is based on superresolution image fusion of hyperspectral imagery from third-party satellites like:

   • GOES-16
   • GOES-18
   • GK2A
   • Himawari-9, Meteosat-9, and Meteosat-11 from EUMETSAT [2023]

   • Aqua and Terra with MODIS imager

   • S-NPP, JPSS-1 with VIIRS imager

4. Who receives fire notifications?

   Once a fire is identified, Google sends notifications. Notifications go to people who have their smartphone location services turned on and who are located in the area that’s near a fire. If you aren’t near a fire, you won’t get a Google fire notification.

   Here are some reasons you may not find a fire alert when you search:

   • We may not support your location yet. We're working to expand our global support.
   • The fire may be too small to detect with satellites.
   • The fire was extinguished before it was detected by a satellite.
   • Clouds obscured the satellite view.
   • There's a temporary technical issue with the satellite data.
   • Your location services are turned off and your search doesn't have a location specified.
   • There isn’t a fire in your area.
