Report on "Mobile app installs" campaigns

"Mobile app installs" campaigns provide the same reporting features as manual campaigns. For example, you can view reporting data for the entire campaign, for individual ad groups, or for specific ads and keywords.

"Mobile app installs" campaigns are no longer supported by Google Ads and you can no longer create or edit "mobile app installs" campaigns in Search Ads 360.

As of April 1, 2018, Search Ads 360 can no longer track new conversions promoted by existing app installs campaigns (neither for Android apps nor for iOS apps), but you can still access these campaigns to see conversions that were recorded while Google Ads still supported the campaigns.

Instead of "mobile app installs" campaigns, use App campaigns, which are more streamlined than "mobile app installs" campaigns.

Here's an example of how to report on ad groups in a "Mobile app installs" campaign:

  1. Navigate to a "Mobile app installs" campaign

Steps for navigating to a campaign
    1. In the left navigation panel, click All accounts.
What if the left navigation pane isn't visible?

    2. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    3. In the "Agency" list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    4. In the "Advertiser" list, click on the advertiser that contains the engine account.

    5. In the "Account" list, click on the engine account that contains the campaign.
    6. In the "Campaign" list, click on the campaign.

    7. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

Search Ads 360 displays the campaign page.

  2. Click the Ad groups tab.

  3. (Optional) Use filters to display only the ad groups you're interested in.

  4. (Optional) Adjust the report's time range.
To include conversions recorded by Google Ads conversion tracking, make sure the time range includes dates before April 1, 2018.

  5. To report conversions, add a custom Floodlight column or custom Google Ads column that you created when you set up conversion reporting.

  6. Optionally download the report for offline analysis.
