Upload conversions

Upload an availability timestamp for offline Floodlight activities

If you wait more than 24 hours without uploading conversions, upload an availability timestamp.

The availability timestamp should be one of the following:

  • If you've recorded conversions during the last 24 hours but haven't uploaded them yet, the timestamp should be the time that the last uploaded conversion occurred. This tells Search Ads 360 that conversions may have occurred during the last 24 hours, but you haven't provided the data yet. Bid strategies and other automated systems will consider performance history only up to the last conversion you uploaded.
  • If no conversions have occurred during the last 24 hours, the timestamp should be the current time and date. This tells Search Ads 360 that no conversions have occurred during the last 24 hours. Bid strategies and other automated systems will include the last 24 hours—a full day without conversions—as part of the performance history.

How to upload from a bulksheet

To upload an availability timestamp from a bulksheet:

  1. Create a spreadsheet that contains the following column headings and one row for each Floodlight activity that primarily reports offline conversions:

    Column heading Value
    Row Type conversion
    Action create
    Status Active
    Advertiser Your advertiser name.
    For example:
    Hoopers Store
    Conversion timestamp

The current date and time, or some other timestamp to indicate that "no conversions have occurred as of this time."
    For example:
    2014-06-19 09:11:24

You can specify time in the Search Ads 360 advertiser time zone or, to avoid ambiguity, in UTC. See the supported timestamp formats.

Floodlight activity name The name of the Floodlight activity.
    For example:
    Offline purchase
    Conversion type Update Availability
  2. Upload the spreadsheet to Search Ads 360.
When specifying upload options, select Multiple Engine Accounts from the accounts list. The availability information applies to your Floodlight activities, which all engine accounts in your advertiser can use.

Other options for uploading

In addition to bulksheets, you can use the Search Ads 360 API to upload an availability timestamp. The Campaign Manager API doesn't support availability timestamps. If you use the Campaign Manager API to upload offline conversions, make sure you upload conversions at least every 24 hours or use Search Ads 360 bulksheets or the Search Ads 360 API to upload an availability timestamp.
