How YOU DON'T your IT administrator does because they have control

This is the way

your device shows you if your managed with a image

it also gives you  contact info on your IT administrator
probably pointless to discuss unless your updated to the latest revision (89..95)

i assume after the most recent power wash you did  in fact first verify that you are still on the most recent 89..82 update and did not somehow revert to a older update  ?

and that the first user you added to your device after the power wash is the one that is causing errors ?? previously  ?? and still is ??
no problem here ?
file explorer  ?  how about a screen shot  i dont know what your calling  a file explorer ?
https://cros.tech/table

also the majority of devices  are updated to 89 stable now

how does a posted link do  ?
https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/1331549?hl=en

a yes or no ? Deo  Kiatama are you using a managed chromebook device and account the url above should indicate your status
https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2021/02/stable-channel-update-for-chrome-os_17.html

might that version of 88 be 186  ?

numerous versions 88 have been released wth 186 being the most recent ??
https://cros.tech/table

the stable channel update system just added another 88 version  for most and and retired the few 87 still held back so all should have some version of 88

but that  does mean whenever your administrator or manufacturer give the go ahead
https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/1331549?hl=en

if you are a managed account and device you dont try anything

the IT administrator is in charge and they do the  control and fix things

so the first thing is who is in charge   ?? you or the school
turn on the device/click add a person/on a non managed that is on update 88 device

i see the previously shown screen   ?
https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/1086915?hl=en

beta channel can have more issues however

not always a option if your managed

requires a powerwash should you decide to drop out of beta and go back to stable channel

so you require some tech ability to switch  back to stable
https://cros.tech/table/

your not alone as other devices are in a holding pattern

sometimes you just stay that way until 89 goes stable

your choices usually are do nothing and wait for the next available

or switch to the beta channel  which is usually a option
unless you tell us the type of device you are using  and if it is

a combination/ book tablet or something else entirely  ?

how are we to comment ?

not a one size fits all for any updates
not here  ??

87...152 stable

clicked add a user

get the shown screen  ?? still ??
https://www.google.com/intl/en_us/chromebook/howto/take-full-screenshots/

a normal non managed  account has no shift key involved to activate a full screenshot
https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/search/label/Stable%20updates

perhaps a fix was included with the last version update ?
Looks like ? No problem this device or update and just to be clear the latest 87..109 not any previous update versions
Chromebook•28.12.2020
https://www.netflix.com/    the website

more reliable
Chromebook•15.12.2020
https://cros.tech/table

here is where we are with update versions

87..109 for most
Chromebook•1.12.2020
the icon is for website access

OR the icon is for gmail playstore app  access  ?
you can however purchase a new device or a second unit that is playstore capable

then migrate that @gmail.com user to the newer capable device which will have the playstore option in os settings

as long as you sync all on your current device  (no playstore)os settings

backup and remove anything from downloads file

you will always have that option
https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/search/label/Chrome%20OS

multiple  different  versions of the 86 update fixing various things have been issued

so your device operation might change as well

if your a managed school account that means your administrator  might be involved with keeping current on updates
Chromebook•11.11.2020
https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/chrome-os-systems-supporting-android-apps

You buy your own chromebook

one that supports android apps

your given the option to use it or not in os device settings of devices that are capable

THEN you download and install apps of your choice
https://support.google.com/chromebook/thread/62150179?hl=en

sounds like your chromebook decided it was not operating properly and powerwashed

Does not require your permission it just happens
