Get help with your Pixel phone

If you have issues with your Pixel phone, you can get help in several ways.

Troubleshoot common issues

You can solve many common software issues like frozen apps, camera issues or poor connectivity. Before you seek further help, try these steps.

  1. Restart your phone: A simple restart often fixes temporary issues.
  2. Check for app and system updates: Make sure that your apps and phone software are up to date.
    • For app updates:
      1. Open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
      2. Tap your Profile icon and then Manage apps and device and then Update all.
    • For system updates:
      1. Open your phone’s Settings app Settings.
      2. Tap System and then System update.
  3. Check in safe mode: You can temporarily disable all third-party apps with safe mode to help you identify if a downloaded app caused the issue. If the issue disappears in safe mode, try to uninstall recently added apps. Find out how to reboot to safe mode.
  4. Reset network settings: For issues with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or mobile connectivity, try these steps.
    1. Open your phone’s Settings app Settings.
    2. Tap System and then Reset options and then Choose the best option.

Tip: This will clear saved networks and pairings.

  5. Do a factory reset: If other steps don't work, you can reset your phone to its factory settings.
    • Important: A factory reset deletes all your data from your phone. Make sure that you back up your data first.
    • To do a factory reset:
      1. Open your phone’s Settings app Settings.
      2. Tap System and then Reset options and then Delete all data (factory reset).
