Receive occasional business payments

If you represent a business that sells or gets paid through Google products like AdSense, YouTube, AdMob, DoubleClick Ad Exchange, or Google Play or Chrome Web Store app development, visit Payments center help.

If you are in the U.S. and receive money through Google Pay for occasional commercial transactions, like collecting rent or accepting payments for services, follow the steps below to get set up to receive commercial transactions and avoid charges.

Receive occasional commercial payments

Note: This feature is only available in the U.S.

  1. Go to
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Turn on Receive commercial payments.
  4. Choose the correct type from the list.
  5. Click Done.

Taxes and fees

Google Pay charges no fees to receive occasional business payments in the U.S. We’ll ask you to submit a W-9 form if your total transactions are higher than the IRS's threshold of:

  • 200 transactions
  • $20,000 in gross receipts

Google has to report this information to the IRS on a 1099-K form. Keep in mind that this doesn't mean Google will send you a 1099-K form.
