Receive occasional business payments

If you represent a business that sells or gets paid through Google products like AdSense, YouTube, AdMob, DoubleClick Ad Exchange, or Google Play or Chrome Web Store app development, visit Payments center help.

If you are in the U.S. and receive money through Google Pay for occasional commercial transactions, like collecting rent or accepting payments for services, follow the steps below to get set up to receive commercial transactions and avoid charges.

Receive occasional commercial payments

Note: This feature is only available in the U.S.

  1. Go to pay.google.com.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Turn on Receive commercial payments.
  4. Choose the correct type from the list.
  5. Click Done.

Receive 1099-K

There are certain IRS set thresholds that require Google to issue 1099-K forms based on transactional activity. The IRS thresholds are:

  • 200 transactions
  • $20,000 in gross receipts

Thresholds vary from state to state.

To issue a 1099-K, you need to submit your tax information.

Enter your tax information

  1. Sign in to your payments profile.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the "Payments profile" section, find "[your country] tax info".
  4. Click Edit Edit.
  5. To enter or edit your tax info, click Add tax info or Update tax info.
  6. To submit the W-9 to the IRS from your payments profile, answer the questions. Fill out the W-9 form and click Submit.
  7. Click Save.
