Why this issue is happening
Two or more of the products in your product data use the same item group ID [item_group_id]
, but don’t include multiple values for any associated variant attributes, such as size [size
] or color [color]
. This could result in showing duplicates of the same offer, rather than showing 2 different offers that vary by size, color, or some other distinguishing attribute.
How to fix your issue
To make sure we can correctly identify products that use the same item group ID [item_group_id]
, submit unique values for associated variant attributes, or remove duplicate offers from your product data. You can also resolve this issue by removing the item group ID attribute.
Fix products one by one directly in Merchant Center
Navigate to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.
Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.
Click on the title of the product you want to fix, then click Edit product.
Submit unique values for each variant that shares an item group ID [item_group_id]
, or remove the item group ID attribute.
Select Save.
Fix multiple products at once
Navigate to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.
Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.
Select the Download icon to download a list (.csv) of all affected products for all issues or this particular issue.
Cross reference the downloaded list with your uploaded product data. Submit unique values for each variant that shares an item group ID [item_group_id]
, or remove the item group ID attribute.
Reupload your corrected product data to Merchant Center using your chosen upload method.
