This policy applies to Shopping ads and local inventory ads
The business display name you provided in the “Business information” section of your Merchant Center account doesn't comply with our policies. The most common issues are the inclusion of company suffixes (like 'Inc.,' 'Co.,' or 'GmbH.'), and excessive use of capitalization or special characters. At the moment, we’re using your homepage without the 'http://www.' at the beginning as a business display name.
Every Shopping ad and free listing shows your store name, so it is important that you use a concise name that helps users easily recognize your store.
Instructions
You can change your store name by doing the following:
- Sign in to your Merchant Center account.
- Click on the tools icon
to open the Tools and settings menu.
- Under “Tools” select Business information.
- You can make changes to your store name and information in the “About your business” tab. Be sure that the text entered for your “Business display name” is accurate and complies with our policies. Avoid suffixes like 'Inc.', 'Co.', or 'GmbH', promotional text, excessive capitalization or special characters. Additionally, note that Shopping ads and listings truncate store names that are longer than 20 characters. Learn more about our store name guidelines
- Click Save.
Changes to your store name will go live after the next upload of your product data.
