About same-day delivery for local product listings

This feature allows you to showcase the same-day delivery on your local products by adding badges and annotations to your products in free local listings and local inventory ads.

Before you begin

  • Identify which products and shops in your local inventory feed support same-day delivery.
  • Identify the cut-off times for the participating shops. You might need to set up a few same-day delivery services to accommodate multiple time zones. Time zones are based on the Merchant Center settings that you provide, not the user location.
  • Determine your fees structure, including the delivery fee. We currently don't support additional fees, hence the best practice is to add up all the fees and pass it to Google as one delivery fee (Range-based delivery fee is supported).
  • Define delivery distance per shop. If the delivery radius varies, you may either set up a separate same-day delivery service or choose a conservative radius.

Eligibility

You can enable same-day delivery annotations and badging for your free local listings and local inventory ads in the United States if you meet the following criteria:

  • Your business should provide same-day delivery fulfilment services for eligible products and the same-day delivery settings that you submit to Merchant Center should match what is on your website.
  • The delivery cost for the same-day delivery should match the cost mentioned on your website.
  • Your Merchant Center account should be linked to the Google Business Profile that is used for your shop locations.
  • You should have free local product listings or local inventory ads enabled in Merchant Center. Learn how to enable local inventory ads and free local product listings.
  • You should have a local product feed added in Merchant Center.

Eligibility for faster than same-day delivery annotations

In addition to the requirements above, you can also enable faster than same-day delivery annotations, which is an extension of same-day delivery annotation that allows you to showcase your service of providing instant dispatch on Google, if you meet the following criteria:

  • Your business should provide delivery speed within five minutes to six hours.
  • Over 90% of your Google inventory can be delivered within five minutes to six hours.

To express your interest in this new annotation, use the email address of the admin role in your Merchant Center account to contact faster-than-same-day-interest@google.com with the following information:

  • Your Merchant Center account ID
  • Proof that you provide a two-hour or 240-minute delivery. For example, your website delivery policy page URL

Google will periodically check your eligibility to participate in faster than same-day delivery annotations to ensure delivery information consistency, and that these annotations won't show when your business stops being eligible for faster than same-day delivery annotations.

Note: Faster than same-day delivery annotations is a beta feature and is still being tested. Beta features may not be eligible to be shown on Google, can change at any time and may never be fully launched.

Same-day delivery must be advertised and mentioned on both your website and in the checkout flow.

It might take up to 72 hours for Google to review the settings. If there is an issue with the same-day delivery settings, the administrator of your Merchant Center account will receive an email with instructions on how to resolve the issue.
