What are Google Customer Reviews?

Google Customer Reviews is a program in Merchant Center that lets you gather feedback from your customers with one click on your checkout page after they complete a purchase.

Google Customer Reviews vs. Google Business Profile Reviews

Google Customer Reviews are different from Google Business Profile reviews, which are the public ratings visible on Google Maps and Search. Anyone with a Google account can write a Business Profile review, but only your verified buyers contribute to the Google Customer Reviews. Google Customer reviews appear on Google Shopping, Google Ads, and directly on your website via a badge.

Note: The actual star rating inside your badge will vary based on the store rating you receive.

How Google Customer Reviews impact store ratings

We use the Google Customer Reviews survey responses to help determine a store rating for your site. Your aggregate score is a 1–5 star rating that shows up on Search ads and Shopping ads. This rating also appears on your Google Customer Reviews badge. Learn more about store ratings.
