How to fix: Missing vat (abuse of network)

Fix all account-level policy issues, keep all products in your account, and then wait for Google to review your account

Google detected that you or a user of your account unfairly bypassed an account review. Circumventing a review for a missing VAT (value-added tax) is considered a violation of Google’s “Abuse of Network” policy and can lead to a gap in necessary enforcements. For example, if you significantly reduce your submitted product count before a review, and then upload the missing products shortly after receiving account approval could cause a gap in enforcement. This sort of violation can lead to a poor user experience. As a result, your account has been suspended.

To resolve the issue, follow policy compliance and fix the products that are causing the violation. For example, if your account was warned for a missing vat, fix the products where the vat is not indicated instead of removing your product. Ensure that the products comply with Google’s Shopping policies and requirements and don’t engage in practices that attempt to circumvent or interfere with Google’s review systems and processes. Any attempt to circumvent data quality reviews violates the “Abuse of Network” policy. This includes, but is not limited to, manipulating product data or site content in order to bypass checks. Learn more about Abuse of the network.

If your account is in a warning period, no request for review is needed. Google will review the account 7 days after the initial warning date, and again anytime within the next year. If your account has already been suspended, the review can only be requested 28 days after the suspension date.

If you’re working with a third-party platform, some of these instructions may not apply to you. Refer to your third-party platform for instructions on how to resolve the issue and request a review. Learn how to find support if you use a non-Google platform.
