Customers visiting your page to view your products shouldn’t have to sign in using a username or password. There shouldn’t be a barrier to browse products on your store website, such as requiring a login or an additional program.
This policy applies to Shopping ads and local inventory ads with merchant hosted local store front
The following are reasons why your account is impacted by the Login required account issue:
- A login, username, and/or password is required by customers to view your products and/or store website
- Customers are required to download a program to view your products and/or store website
- Customers are required to sign-up for your store website to view your products
To fix the issue, we recommend you complete the following:
- Remove any requirement for customers to submit a username and/or password to view products on your store website (until appropriate, i.e. cart check out)
- Ensure customers aren’t required to download an additional application to view your store website (aside from common browser plug-ins)
- Confirm there are no barriers for customers to view products on your store website
