U.S. laws require Google to collect and verify information about Buy on Google retailers, and then display that information across Google surfaces. This means certain retailers will need to undergo a data verification process in order to ensure a safe, trustworthy, and more transparent experience for users. This process will help consumers understand your business, products and services better.
How it works
Retailers participating in Buy on Google must submit additional information either when setting up their Buy on Google account, or if you already had a Buy on Google account before these laws went into effect, when prompted in your account.
You’ll find the list of required information in the Buy on Google setup page of your Merchant Center account.
- Sign in to your Merchant Center account.
- Click the tools icon.
- Under “Tools,” click Buy on Google setup.
- Enter the required information.
