Use multiple cameras with Meet hardware

When more than one camera is connected to Google Meet hardware, you can switch active cameras at the press of a button. Camera switching is useful for: 

  • Irregular shaped rooms 
  • Flexible spaces
  • Teaching environments
  • Large spaces with many participants

Before you begin

You can connect:

Pan tilt zoom controls are unavailable if you use 2 identical USB cameras. Set your default camera in the Google Admin console. For steps, see Set a default peripheral.

Switch cameras

On your controller, next to Control camera, tap or press Camera select .

You only see Camera select when you connect more than one camera. 

Note: This feature only works with Meet hardware touchscreen controllers.
