Calibrate your Series One Smart Audio Bar

You can calibrate the Series One Smart Audio Bar for the acoustics of the room it’s in. Once calibrated, your system’s audio output will have slight adjustments applied to correct for the acoustics of the physical space.
You can calibrate your Smart Audio Bar during the initial device setup, or from the settings menu.

Notes:

  • The audio bar contains a main speaker on one side and microphone set on the other. Using a single Audio bar (for example in a small room setup) provides mono audio output originating from one side of the bar. Using a pair of Audio bars (for example in a large room setup) provides stereo output for local presentations and mono output for video conferences.
  • The calibration feature is only available to Series One systems with a touch controller.

Calibrate during initial device setup

  1. During your Series One system’s initial setup, finish enrolling your device and connecting your peripherals.
  2. If you have a Smart Audio Bar connected to your system, you'll see Tune your Smart Audio Bar to your room’s acoustics. Tap Calibrate now
  3. Make sure your peripherals are in their final positions and clear of obstructions.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. When you see Calibration succeeded, tap Exit.

Calibrate from Settings

  1.  On the touch controller, tap Settings and thenAudio
  2. If you have a Smart Audio Bar connected and your system, you'll see Smart Audio Bar settings.
If your Smart Audio Bar is uncalibrated, you'll see an option to calibrate.
  3. Make sure your peripherals are in their final positions and clear of obstructions.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. When you see Calibration succeeded, tap Exit.

Clearing old calibrations and recalibrating

If you decide you do not want to use the feature, you can clear an old calibration. If you wish to recalibrate your device (perhaps because you have moved the feature to a new room with different acoustics), you will first have to clear the old calibration.

  1. On the touch controller, tap Settings and thenAudio
  2. Under Smart Audio Bar settings, next to Calibrated for the room’s acoustics, tap Reset.
  3. To confirm that you want to reset the calibration, tap Reset.
Note that if you wish to turn calibration back on in the future, you will need to recalibrate your device.
  4. Once cleared, the button will change back to Calibrate now, allowing you to recalibrate your device if necessary.

Note: You can't calibrate your Smart Audio Bar or clear a previous calibration during a meeting. If you go to Audio Settings during a meeting, the Smart Audio Bar section will not be available. Even though the section is not visible during a meeting, if your device has been calibrated, the calibration filter will continue to be applied to your meeting.
