Open Gmail .
At the top right, click Settings See all settings.
Scroll to the Keyboard shortcuts section and select Keyboard shortcuts on.
At the bottom, click Save Changes.

Turn on keyboard shortcuts

In Google Calendar, click Settings Settings.
At left, click Keyboard shortcuts.
Check the Enable keyboard shortcuts box.

Important: Google Drive has updated keyboard shortcuts to make it easier to navigate using first letters navigation. The shortcuts will be updated for everyone on August 1, 2024, but you can choose to get them sooner in your Drive settings:

In Google Drive, press t to open the Settings menu, then press arrow down to "Keyboard shortcuts" and press enter. A notification displays.
Press Tab to get to "Update now," then press enter.
