To use Google Meet, you need to connect your Google Account or phone number. Your available Google Accounts will automatically be added to Meet when you open the app. When you connect your Google Account to your calling account in the Meet app:
- You can use Meet calling across different devices.
- For mobile devices with SIM cards, you must register your phone number. Learn how to get started with calling in Google Meet.
- People with your phone number or Google Account info, like your Gmail address, can:
- Know that you use Meet calling.
- Call you with the Meet app.
Add your Google Account to Meet
On your computer, to use calling across multiple devices and access Meet features, you need to add your Google Account in addition to your phone number. Learn how to get started with calling in Google Meet.
- On your computer, go to duo.google.com (the URL will update to Google Meet in a future release).
- Sign in with your Google Account.
- Meet automatically adds available Google Accounts.
Remove your Google Account from Meet
Important: When you remove your Google Account, you can't use Meet calling in your browser.
When you remove your Google Account:
- You're signed out of Meet calling on all your devices, except the device verified with your phone number.
- You can still make calls and send messages on the device verified with your phone number.
- Your phone number won't be linked to your Google Account in Meet.
To remove your Google Account from Meet in your browser:
- On your computer, go to duo.google.com (the URL will update to Google Meet in a future release).
- At the top right, click Settings
.
- Click Account
Remove Google Account.
- Click Remove account.
