Display your products in 3D and augmented reality

You can display your products in 3D and augmented reality (AR) on free listings by attributing your existing Manufacturer Center product feed with a link to your 3D model. This article explains how the feature works, and how to show your content on Google surfaces.

Important: To display your products in 3D on Shopping Ads, your 3D assets must be uploaded in Merchant Center. 3D assets uploaded in Manufacturer Center are not used for ads. Learn more about displaying your products in 3D using Merchant Center.

Benefits

  • Augmented reality helps your customers to visualize your product in a real environment, like their living room, and have a better understanding of what they are purchasing.
  • The 3D model enables shoppers to see products from every angle, and even zoom-in to view the details.
  • 3D and augmented reality (AR) products often have strong customer engagement and receive more interactions compared to products with 2D images, which can help to increase quality clicks.

Note: You can use 3D Model Link [virtual_model_link] attribute for home goods and shoes only. The attribute is limited to products sold in the US and may start showing on Google Search within 2 weeks of being added to your feed.

How it works

Manufacturers can create 3D and AR models of their products on their own, or with the help of partners such as CGTrader, Epigraph, Ocavu, and VNTANA.

When your 3D model is ready, use the 3D Model Link [virtual_model_link] attribute to provide Manufacturer Center with the link (URL) to your hosted model.

After you’ve connected the appropriate accounts and provided the necessary links, 3D and AR assets will be eligible to serve in free listings.
